Louisiana Archaeology Month program!
Tad Britt, Chief of Archaeology and Collections at the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training, will discuss and demonstrate methods for studying firearms, firearm parts, and ammunition components found in archaeological contexts. The archaeology of guns refers to the information, analytical techniques, and conceptual approaches that archaeologists can use to understand the material residues of guns and use them to investigate important human behaviors that involved firearms use.
